“Warm, true stories from yesterday, lit with hope for today”
Porchlight Tales was created to share simple, meaningful stories that encourage people through memories, humor, faith, and everyday life lessons.
I have never considered myself much of a public speaker, but I do believe a good story can reach people in a quiet and personal way.
Through Porchlight Tales, I hope to share stories that make readers smile, think, remember, and maybe see God's hand in ordinary moments.
Each week, subscribers receive a free story by email. Some may choose to read it. Others may listen to it while driving, resting, or going about their day. Over time, I also hope to make printed stories available for people who may not use email or online newsletters, including residents in nursing homes and assisted living communities.
Porchlight Tales is a place to slow down, pull up a chair, and be reminded that ordinary lives often hold the best stories.
Some of the best stories aren't found in books — they're found in ordinary people living ordinary lives.
Do you have a story that made you laugh, taught you a lesson, strengthened your faith, reminded you of a loved one, or changed the way you see the world?
We would love to hear it. Porchlight Tales hopes to become a collection of stories from people all across America. Whether you're 18 or 98, your experiences matter. Your story may encourage someone you've never met. You don't need to be a professional writer. Just tell your story in your own words.
Submit your story, and it may be featured in a future edition of Porchlight Tales. Every story has value. Every life leaves a legacy. We'd be honored to help share yours.
